Broccoli Arts
Broccoli Arts Ltd. is a producing company making work for stage & page. We primarily make work for/by/about lesbian, bisexual & queer people who experience misogyny.
We want to make space for these voices on UK and international stages. We work with writers to develop scripts and manage productions, enabling longevity and sustainability in a precarious industry.
We acknowledge that there are multiple ways to experience being a queer person and we would never ask anyone to self-identify or out themselves before working with Broccoli. We acknowledge that trans and non-binary people experience misogyny, just as much as, and so often more violently than cis women. Our shorthand of LBQ women & non-binary people always includes trans people and those who sit outside these definitions.
We are open to better ways to phrasing our mission as a company and welcome those conversations.
